Basic Needs (Groups 3 and 4)

Before you begin your research, your group must first find and record the definition of the term habitat.

Now that you know a little bit more about your research topic, you must answer the following questions:

1.)  Where does the monarch butterfly live?

2.)
What does a monarch caterpillar eat?  What does a monarch butterfly eat?  Use a Venn diagram (teacher will give you one) to compare and contrast the caterpillar and butterfly.

3.)  What plant is the monarch butterflies secret weapon?  How does it protect the butterfly?

4.)
Finally, find one “cool fact” about your topic.
The "cool fact" must be different than the answer to any of your flip book questions.

Don't forget to record the information in your flipbook.
